April 2006 Activation was between 07-25 April 2006 with Romania in command.
The BLACKSEAFOR April 2006 Activation included serialized training programs during the transits at sea and port visits to following ports: Novoozerne (Ukraine), Batumi (Georgia) and Novorossysk (Russian Federation).
The focus of the April 2006 Activation was to conduct maritime security training, to review and experiment of the Sub-Concept for CBRN Defense at Black Sea and Harbors (BSN - 12) and Rules of Engagement (BSN-13), to continue PC to PC communication system experimentations, as it was agreed by the BSNC.
The BLACKSEAFOR April 2006 Activation lasted for 19 days, of which 8 days was scheduled training at sea and 11 days in port.
