April 2010 Activation will be between 09-27 April 2010 with Bulgaria in command.
The April 2010 Activation of BLACKSEAFOR included serialized training program during sea transits and port visits to following ports: Karadeniz Ereğli (Turkey), Varna (Bulgaria), Constanta (Romania).
The focus of the April 2010 Activation were SAR activities and also improve interoperability among naval forces, to review and experiment Sub-Concepts and to continue FORESC communication system experimentations.
BLACKSEAFOR countries initiated a beneficial cooperation with SAR authorities of the countries. In this scope, COMBLACKSEAFOR has sent a message to related SAR authorities every 4 hours including the positions of the ships and readiness to support the SAR assets.
BLACKSEAFOR April 2010 Activation was conducted in 19 days, of which 6 days of scheduled training at sea and 13 days in port.
